Description
For sale is a vinyl album by Nat King Cole titled Unforgettable, originally released in 1952 by Capitol Records, then reissued in 1966 as part of Capitol Records' "The Star Line" album series. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is machine stamped "IAM" inside a triangle, which stands for International Association of Machinists' Union, who work in the Capitol Records' pressing plant, followed by the matrix numbers T-30/P-17, indicating that later stampers were used to press this album at Capitol Records' pressing plant located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Very Good Plus because of foxing around the edges and a small 1 inch tear at the top opening. The cover is graded as Very Good because of some ring wear, corner blunts and a 3 inch seam split in the middle of the bottom cover's edge and a 1 inch seam split in the middle of the top cover's edge. The spine has a small tear at the bottom with some paper loss. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with one spindle mark on the label for Side One. Otherwise, the surfaces are still shiny and bright in a like new condition. This is still one of the best copies of this album that I have ever seen and you would be hard-pressed to find one in this condition, especially a Scranton Star Line pressing. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Pop records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look.
