Description

Capitol SP-8536 (stereo) Nathan Milstein with Leon Pommers, piano, plays Kreisler: Praeludium & Allegro in the Style of Pugnani and Siciliano & Rigaudon in the Style of Francoeur;  Schumann: Abendlied; Szymanowski: Nocturne & Tarantella; Handel: Larghetto; Leclair: Tambourin; Mendelssohn: Song without Words; Brahms: Waltz in A Mjor; Poldini: Dancing Doll.
Jacket VG++ (number “20” written in grease pencil at top right, bit of ringwear visible on back). Record (black label, Capitol logo at side, rainbow surrond) is about VG+. There are a few scratches (brief and rather quiet) in the Pugnani, Szymanowski, Handel, and Francoeur; there is a bit of what looks to be white paint at the start of side two. Besides the scratches cited, there is some occasional surface noise, but on the whole, the record plays very well and quietly – it is not worn, and if not for the scratches it might be called NM-. Most Milstein admirers will find the record quite acceptable, though of course they will regret the rough spots.
Record will be shipped by media mail or priority mail for US shipments as buyer prefers, by first class international (air) for foreign shipments. Records are carefully packed in high quality mailers; returnable for refund if not as described. Multiple purchases combined for reduced shipping cost – request total at conclusion of auctions.
