I go the extra mile to provide deadwax information because I want to make sure the item I'm selling is the Exact item you want. --------------------- Nathaniel Mayer Rare 1st pressing (maroon label), Factory-stamped in deadwax (run-off groove), funky Northern Soul "I Had a Dream" b/w the slow ballad "I'm Not Gonna Cry" on Fortune Records #554 released 1963.
"Had a Dream" plays a beautiful Mint -minus! -- no detectable surface noise at all. Deadwax (run-off groove) has the name Sheldon factory-stamped on it in script, and also the number F 276, with a scribbled-out 8 between the 7 and the 6 (!) is etched by hand on that side.
"I'm Not Gonna Cry" plays Excellent -- low-grade surface noise underneath the music does not significantly effect the listening experience. 554 F277 is factory-stamped (not etched) in the deadwax.
Label on "Had a Dream" side has a very light small ink-dab on the letters "TU' in the word 'Fortune'. Label on the "Not Gonna Cry" side is flawless. I grade both labels overall Near-Mint.

All vinyl records are play-graded on a professional model Technics SL1200-MK2 turntable.
