This listing is for a near-perfect copy of Naïve, the influential album by industrial pioneers KMFDM, originally released in 1990 on Wax Trax! Records. Both the outer sleeve and inner sleeve are in near mint (NM) condition, showing almost no signs of wear or handling. The vinyl itself is also graded as near mint (NM) with no visible surface marks, ensuring excellent sound quality. This copy has been carefully stored and maintained, making it an incredible find for collectors.
Naïve was a breakthrough album for KMFDM, helping to solidify their reputation in the industrial scene. It features their signature blend of heavy electronic beats, distorted guitars, and dark, rebellious lyrics. Standout tracks include "Naïve," "Go to Hell," and the controversial "Liebeslied."
In 1993, Naïve was removed from distribution due to the use of an unlicensed sample from Carl Orff's "O Fortuna" on the track "Liebeslied." The sampling of "O Fortuna," from Orff's Carmina Burana, led to legal issues, forcing the band and their label to pull the album from circulation. As a result, original pressings of Naïve became highly sought after by collectors. KMFDM later re-released an altered version of the album, titled Naïve/Hell to Go, which replaced the offending sample.
This makes original copies like this one even more valuable, as it represents a piece of industrial music history and the creative, rebellious spirit of KMFDM during the early '90s.
