Nazareth – Hair Of The Dog (1975 Mooncrest UK 1st Pressing Vinyl LP Record with Inner Liner)

I’ve been collecting records for 25 years and I’ve finally reached the point where I’ve got no more room in my house. I’m therefore thinning out my collection which is why I’m selling the following:

  • Record Condition: Excellent (has some light surface grazing from the cardboard liner)
  • Cover Condition: Excellent (the back cover has some very light storage wear, a small handling crease near the opening and a minor scuff. There are also minor creases on the spine and a dealer stamp on the inside of the cover)
  • Inner Liner Condition: Excellent (has some very brownish aging spots on both front and back and a dealer stamp on the inside of the liner)

Grading System

I’ve graded the record and cover using Record Collector Magazine’s grading system and I’ve added comments where appropriate and where this helps. I should point out that the record has been graded visually, not audibly, but I’ve tried to be honest and accurate when doing the gradings.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, warping etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler.
