Description
You are bidding on an original Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MoFi) MFSL recording of Neil Diamond Hot August Night Vinyl 2x LP Album MFSL 2-024 pressed in Japan. . Super clean, beautiful copy having been Ultrasonically cleaned using the Marquard Method 6 method of cleaning described below.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab records pressed in Japan were produced from the late 1970s through the 1980s and are highly sought-after by audiophiles and collectors. MoFi's initial success and reputation for exceptional quality were built on this collaboration with the Victor Company of Japan (JVC), which used an exclusive "Super Vinyl" compound.
Both records are very glossy and cleaned using Marquard Method 6 Ultrasonic method of cleaning described below. However, the gatefold sleeve shows some minor wear on both sides as shown in photos , but artwork remains in very nice shape. Contains original MoFi inner sleeves and inserts.
Condition: Excellent: This has been played very few times, handled with good care.

Marquard Method 6 method of cleaning:
· Step 1-Use a pre-cleaner to remove the largest particles and get the record base ready for a steam cleaning.
· Step 2-Vacuum the record, both sides, using my Modified VPI Cleaning machine.
· Step 3-Use Steam from Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs PURE Water to clean the vinyl grooves-3 rotations each side. Use DAK Brush to get steam into the grooves.
· Step 4-Vacuum the record again, both sides-4-5 rotations until completely dry.
· Step 5-Using one of my two Ultrasonic machines (Audiodesk and Ultrasonic V-8), I run them through a 10 minute cleaning cycle where it removes all the dirt the VPI machine could not. It also removes smoke remnants and detergents from past washings.
· Step 6-Using MFSL Pure Water, rinse record using a different MFSL Velvet brush and let it spin for 3-5 rotations.
· Step 7-Vacuum the record a final time, both sides until bone dry.
· Step 8-Use the Anti-Static gun twice on each side of the record for removal of any static electricity.

Not Necessarily The Best -- He's At His Most Appealing Crafting In The Studio -- But Certainly The Ultimate, Capturing All The Kitsch And Glitz Of Neil Diamond, The Showman. At 20-plus Tracks In Its Original Release And Various Reissues Over The Years, This Does Wind Up Being A Little Much, But It Nevertheless Is The One Record For Casual Neil Fans (After The Hits Collections), Since It Shows Diamond The Icon In Full Glory."
