Description
Neil Gardner OZ Reissue LP Said the blackbird Mint 2024 Folk Psyche
OZ Reissue LP released in 2024 on Half-A-Cow Records. Cat: hac267.
Neil Gardnerʼs Said the Blackbird might be the most obscure artefact of the singer-songwriter era. 50 copies were pressed in 1972 by Tasmanian label Spectangle in mustard coloured sleeves repurposed from unprinted surplus inners for George Harrisonʼs All Things Must Pass. Performed by Neil (with a band) and all tracks composed by Gardner, the songs will take you on their own particular trip. This first-ever reissue by Half a Cow includes a facsimile of the original lyric booklet, which advises that the album was recorded using Gnome Power.
Tracks : Princess Of The Clouds/ The Weavers Song/ Does Your Daughter Still Ramble At Night/ Pensioners Row/ Said The Blackbird/ 1968/ Spirit In The Stone/ The One Legged Soldier/ The Lady Walks Into The Room/ The Family That Died/ Conclusion.
