Here is a GREAT NEIL YOUNG PROMOTIONAL RECORD for you to add to YOUR vinyl collection if you’re the high bidder!!!

 

Here are the details about the record in this auction:

 

·       “HARVEST” 7-inch EP by Neil Young that is a Compact 33 intended for jukebox play.

·       This 7-inch record plays at 33 1/3 RPMS.

·       This record was issued in 1972 to promote Neil Young’s  “Harvest” LP which is pictured on the front of the picture cover/picture sleeve.

·       This is Reprise Records SR-2032.

·       It is also referred to as LLP (Little LP) # 183 which is printed on the rear of the picture cover/picture sleeve that was issued with it.

·       As you may know, PROMO RECORDS, such as this Compact 33/LLP, were released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay and for jukebox play. They were NOT released or made available to the general public, and they were produced in VERY limited quantities which makes them of interest to vinyl collectors.

·       The SIDE 1 cuts are: “Old Man”, “The Needle And The Damage Done”, and “Heart Of Gold”.

·       The SIDE 2 cuts are: “Harvest” and “Alabama”.

·       The PICTURE COVER/PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG CONDITION. It has NO tears, NO seam splits, and NO writing on it. It has light disc impression and very slight wear/aging on the rear.

·       The VINYL is in VG Condition.  There is a slight warp that does NOT affect play. I tested it on my Technics direct-drive turntable tracking at ½ gram. I also played some of both sides. Side 1 plays well. Side 2 plays with some audio distraction (some popping). There are some light surface hairlines/scuffs on both sides but more audible on Side 2. There is light wear on the labels. There are a couple of very small bubbles on the Side 1 label. One of the bubbles has slight wear (below the words “Damage Done”).

·       Also included is a strip of 8 MINI TITLE/PHOTO STRIPS all still attached in Near Mint Condition. These were used in juke boxes to promote Neil Young’s “HARVEST” LP where the cuts on this LLP were taken from.     

 

A GREAT PROMOTIONAL RECORD related to one of Neil Young’s Most Outstanding LPs, “HARVEST”. Don’t let this one pass you by!

 

FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to grade this record (I played portions of both sides) and sleeve, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
