Description
*I am currently selling a collection of Heavy Metal and rock LPs, predominantly from the mid 70’s to the early 90’s but with the odd outlier thrown in. All well looked after and some real rarities. I combine shipping and always remove the vinyl from the sleeve before packing and posting. Where anything other than a generic white inner is present, the vinyl is always placed in a brand new white inner to preserve the original. Brand new ‘clear glass’ plastic sleeves are added to all LPs. I describe items accurately as I know how disappointing it is to receive a much anticipated record where flaws have been glossed over or gone unmentioned. I try to listen to each record before describing it but if I don’t have time I will listen to selected parts to gauge the level of background noise and I will always listen to any passages where there are surface marks to judge the impact these have. I always give positive feedback after payment so the customer is able to give feedback purely judged on the service once they have received the item. If you are unhappy in any way I will refund with no questions asked. Thank you for your interest in this listing and please check out my other records.*

Neil Young
Harvest
Reprise Records 1972
Incredibly well preserved and super early pressing of Neil Young’s acclaimed 1972 album. Demonstrating the laid back, sensitive side of his songwriting talents, this album sold in droves.
I have never seen a copy with such early matrices before. The A3 B1 on offer here potentially represent the very earliest pressing of the UK version. There is no ‘Made in UK’ on the labels and only one side has a ‘v’ beneath ‘Stereo’.
The Gatefold sleeve on this copy is near to excellent. Often found quite tatty due to the paper used, this copy retains a sound appearance overall. There is some sun darkening in evidence and some minor handling and storage wear but overall a great example.
The original inner sleeve barely ever survives on these early pressings, made as it is out of the same paper as the sleeve, but much thinner and more fragile. This copy has survived intact with just a small triangular area of loss at the opening edge and a couple of seam splits. The vinyl is now housed in a brand new poly-lined example.
The lyric insert is included and in Excellent condition - beautifully preserved.
The vinyl has an immaculate playing surface and the audio is great with very little background interference. There are some spindle marks in evidence so it has been played, but clearly not much and well looked after in between.
A great copy.
