Believe it or not this is an all-original 1968 first US pressing of Neil Young's self-titled debut album on Reprise Records. Album catalog #RS 6317. It's a gatefold album. All original, not a record club issue and of coarse no bar code, bar codes weren't even around in 1968. This is an ultra-rare item! I apologize that I was only able to take one photo of the album so far, but I will do my best to add more. Anyway, I rate the album cover as VG+, pretty good condition for its age. The front cover shows some wear, as indicated in the photo. The back cover shows some ringwear. And the bottom seam of the cover has split just a little. No stickers or writing on the cover, either. As for the record itself, I would rate it to a VG++. The labels look clean. And the labels of the record are the original bright orange and tan colored labels on Reprise. The only issues that keep the record from being rated a NM is that the record has a couple of small marks on Side 2 that can be felt with a finger nail. I would say each of those 2 marks on Side 2 are about close to an inch long, just small marks. Also, the other issue is that the record has a few minor marks on Side 1, but none of those marks are anything major and none of the marks on Side 1 can be felt with a finger nail. There are also 1A/1A Stampers in the dead wax of the record on both sides, no RE-1 in the dead wax. The original Reprise inner sleeve is included. Few of these were pressed because Neil Young himself indicated that he was not happy with the sound quality, and in early 1969 this album was re-released. But this is the all-original, I kid you not!! Ultra rare item, a must-have for devoted Neil Young fans and collectors!
