Description
Nellie Melba - Victor "Melba" Label 95020
Hamlet - Mad Scene, part 1
This selection was recorded in London in 1904 and originally issued on G&T #03023. This copy plays well except for a spill of some sort that affects the first 1/2 inch of the grooves with a slight swish. There is a minor rough start and a number of surface rubs and marks, most of which are non-sounding. There are no cracks, chips, stressed grooves, needle runs, pits, deep scratches or other problems, so aside from the swish at the beginning, the record plays fairly well. I'll grade it a 7 on a scale of 10.
