this is a lovely item that i am hesitant to let go of. as a longterm neutral milk hotel fan i have all the rare items and because they include 2 signed items and an unsigned copy of this album, i can reluctantly let this one go...
it is one of 2 signed items i currently have up by neutral milk hotel / jeff mangum and members of the elephant 6 collective.
a stunning still sealed original pressing of the great "periscope" compilation on yoyo recordings from 1996 or so, it features "bucket" by the band alongside a beck tune amongst others. it is signed boldly in permanent black ink by jeff mangum, jeremey barnes, julian koster and scott spillane. is the classic stable line up from the "in the aeroplane" album sessions.
i obtained this personally, i got to know some of the band ie julian from the music tapes, scott from the gerbils and spoke with jeff several times at gigs such as the now legendary camden underworld show, gigs in brighton supporting sparklehorse and the 12th bar (i think it was called) brace of nights in denmark st london.
a lovely item kept in pristine shape.
