GRADING:
I grade under the official Goldmine grading rules, but as explained below i do add in an ‘EX’ grading, within my descriptions only, if i feel appropriate. Details on the way I breakdown all my grading personally as follows:
M - Mint, Unplayed and possibly still sealed. I only ever sell new records at this grade.
No damage, fading or creasing to sleeves. Audio as new.
NM - Near Mint, Played but not much or very well kept. No scuffs or scratches and damn near perfect audio, only very very slight crackle allowed on run ins/out.
Sleeve may have the absolute slightest of ringwear only but almost invisible. Otherwise it has to be as good as new to meet this grade.
(EX - Excellent, Not quiet good enough to hit NM but better than VG+, i use this only as a more descriptive level within my listings to make buyer aware that it is at the very top end of the VG+ grading only having an odd very minor flaw)
VG+ - Very Good+, A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or a very light scratch that don't affect overall listening experience. Some mild occasional background crackle may be apparent only in quieter sections. The label may have some light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable.
Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly scuffed or creased corners or some fading, but overall must be in bright, clean condition and as such is very much still a desirable grade.
VG - Very Good, Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in quiet sections but will not overpower the music continually. Increased quantity of scuffs or slight scratches and one or two audible pops may be present.
Sleeves/labels may have some writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, some small seam splits, in addition to possible creasing and edgewear/ringwear. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.
G - Good, Good does not mean Bad!! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and likely visible groove wear.
A cover or sleeve will have more prominent seam splits and edgewear, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Overall there will be increased quantity of the flaws of a VG grade.
I do not sell below this grade.
