The album's cover was designed by Peter Saville and is based on a poster by the Italian Futurist Fortunato Despero.
The shape created by the top three lines is an 'F' (lying on its back), which refers to Factory Records/Factory Communications Limited and the bottom two lines create an 'L' (lying on its front), the Roman numeral 50, the original catalogue was FACT 50. The blue color of the lines was chosen by the band.
Condition is "Used".

Slant Magazine placed the album at number 42 on its list of the "Best Albums of the 1980s", saying it "exists almost exactly in between Joy Division's post-punk sound and the synth-pop style that would come to define New Order and influence pope music for decades."
Looks and sounds great!
I test both sides of every album completely (both visually and audibly) prior to shipping. There are no skips. Boxed in professional 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 1/2 white LP/record album mailer using 12 1/4 x 12 1/4 corrugated LP/record album insert pads.
This is a great record! All albums come from my personal collection of classic rock and jazz compiled since the 1960's. I've downsized from a 3,300sf house to a 1,000sf condo and I'm selling part of my record collection. I truly hate to part with these, but I need the space.
Many of these albums date to their original release and/or time period and are for the true music aficionado who appreciates having a collector's record in nice playable condition with no skips (and the original jacket and sometimes even the original inner sleeve in typical used condition) vs. a new recently pressed version. Some, however, are more recently pressed and purchased versions that are obviously in very nice playable condition with no skips and typically VG+ or better jacket and inner sleeve condition.

All descriptions and ratings, etc., are based on subjective evaluation and the buyer must please see the photos attached for visual and actual attributes of the items to determine their interest in the listing.
