Description
The Newcastle Big Band LP
This is an original 1972 UK pressing, recorded by Impulse Studios and best known for featuring one Gordon Sumner (aka Sting) on his recording debut as one of the numerous players. Sting plays bass on all tracks. Just a few hundred were pressed (200 according to Sting's website, though other sources vary).
Sleeve has light wear, a not-very-prominent faded stain on the front and some light ringwear on the rear. See detailed pics.
Record is clean and in very nice condition. Visually it's got a lovely glossy sheen to it and just one or two lines if studied closely. It does play with an occasional touch of light crackle on Side 1 but it's almost all buried under the music. Side 2 is a solid VG+ all the way.
