Nick Drake"5 leaves left"Orig Uk LP diff proof sleeve.
Thsi surely must be one of the rarest Nick Drake LP's ever,it is a the rare first issue pink island Label with the black block log see pics ILPS-9105 even the label is diff lists two tracks on side 1 incorrectly lists "day is Done" as track 4 is actually track 5 and "Way to Blue" as track 5 but is track 4.Matrix Numbers are Side 1 ILPS 9105 A//2 11 1 ,Side 2 ILPS 9105 B//2 1 1.
The proof sleeve is the front of the gatefold and the back no inner gatefold so maybe it was originally going to be released as a single sleeve as opossed to a gatefold????.The front is a exactly the same as the standard issue but the back has a a rare difference the island logo in the top left hand corner is Green in the Uk stock issues it is a browny colour see pics,it is the Ernest J.day original sleeve,also the whole colour of the back sleeve seems a slightly different colour to the standard stock issue a lighter grey is used
Surely the rarest UK Nick Drake item and in graet condition proof slicks are really nice front is ex but some very light creasing to the top edge but the colours are simply stunning it is so rare to find copies of this LP with nice condition sleeves,the back proof slick is also ex with again slight creasing to to top edge,again as the front no other wear .
The vinyl side 1 is ex but has 3 small marks otherwise super clean,side 2 is Ex+ really superb.The labels are both Ex very light spindle wear only so i guess this LP has had little play.A once in a lifetime chance i think here been collecting and dealing in records for twenty years and i have never seen or heard of another copy of this and im sure a 1st on Ebay any info also appreciated.
