Description

RELISTING DUE TO THE PREVIOUS HIGH BIDDER BACKING OUT, CLAIMING HIS SISTER BID ON HIS ACCOUNT.

I am selling my copy of Nine Inch Nails: The Fragile triple LP set. This set has seen some better days. It's not terrible, but it's not mint. This is the US set. The catalog number is 0694904731. I purchased this set from another eBay member who did a poor job of describing it's condition. I will do my best to describe the condition of each part of the set. I am using the Goldmine Grading Scale. For reference, my turntable setup is a VPI Scoutmaster with JMW-9 Signature tonearm. I am using a Benz Micro MC20E2L cartridge set to 2.0g of tracking force.

The cover has some corner creases/dings, edge wear, and spin creases as well. The back of the cover has a black marker running down the UPC and what looks like a pen mark toward in the right lower third. The cover is a solid Very Good in my opinion.

The interior booklet has some minor seam and edge wear. There is a very small piece (less then 1/4") on the bottom left corner of the corner that is folded up/torn. I would estimate the booklet to be Near Mint to Excellent.

Disc 1 has some minor warping and surface noise. You could likely eliminate much of the surface noise with a good record cleaning machine. However, I don't own one and won't attempt to clean the vinyl. The life and body of the music is still there and it is very dynamic still. I would rate Disc 1 to be Very Good to Very Good+ depending on the song.

Disc 2 also has some minor warping and surface noise. Again, a good cleaning should reduce some of the noise. Like Disc 1, Disc 2 still has the life and body of the music as well as the dynamics on the majority of the songs still. However, the biggest problem is on Side A where there is a scratch on the vinyl which spans the last two songs (La Mer & The Great Below). The scratch causes audible pops on every revolution and the very last end of the scratch caused my turntable to skip once before proceeding. The bulk of Disc 2 is also Very Good to Very Good+, but these two particular songs are Good. I might say Fair, but Goldmine considers Fair to be trash, so I have chosen Good for these two songs. I have attempted to photograph the scratch in question and it can be seen circled in my last photo.

Disc 3 is the best of all the LP's in terms of condition and sonics. It has no warping that I can see and almost no surface noise. I would rate Disc 3 to be Excellent. It's close to Near Mint, but I'll err on the side of caution.

Shipping within the USA will be $4.00. Please contact me with your city/postal code for international shipping quotes. Thanks.
