Description
Nirvana. Dedicated to Markos III. UK PYE 1970. Only 250 pressed. Incredibly rare psych!!
One of the rarest psych pop records. Quickly deleted after release!!!!!
Wiki note: Nirvana’s third album, Black Flower, was rejected by Island Label producer Chris Blackwell, comparing it disparagingly to Francis Lai's A Man and a Woman. Under the title, To Markos III (supposedly named for a "rich uncle" of Spyropoulos who helped finance the album), it was released in the UK on the Pye label in May 1970, though reportedly only 250 copies were pressed it was deleted shortly after.Vinyl: Deep rich black sheen and looks almost perfect in normal light. However under sun or harsh lamplight some marks and long, but thin scratches visible, both sides, more noticeable on Side 1. Hairlines too when held up to the light. Side1: Conservative EX- . Side 2 EX if not better.
Cover: As you can see from the pix some annoying laminate creasing on the front cover partiuclarly near the opening. (see pix). Back cover some expected dirt aging on the white surface and traces of linnear grime collecting around the flipbacks. Decent spine though despite some laminate creasing (see pix of which there are many!!). Overall EX.
Labels: Clean but some white spotting on the blue and some spindling at all (see pix).
Inner sleeve: Original patented. Creased at bottom (see pix)
Stamper numbers: A1/B1
