Description
Nirvana / The Melvins
Split Single
This is a very rare split single of Nirvana and The Melvins doing Velvet Underground covers. It was released on Communion Records, the original US press. This is on 7" light blue marble vinyl. This is brand new and never played in perfect condition. Comes with the original, foldout sleeve.
Here are some details -
- Written in the matrix, on side 1 is, "L- 37601" facing outward, and "Comm 23 A 1(in subscript)" facing inwards. Also written is "(T)" facing inwards.
- On side 2, written is also the (T) facing inwards. Also "Comm 23 AA 1(in subscript)". Also facing outwards, written is "C- 37601 X". As these are all handwritten, it is hard to tell if it is an L or a C.
- This single is not a counterfeit. My mom and dad owned a record store, Rebop Records, in Ithaca, NY. They bought this single when it was first released in August 1991 directly from the wholesale distributor in California. Both the fold out sleeve and vinyl are in pristine condition. This was never played.
