Description
One of the absolute grails of the Nirvana collection. An original David Geffen pressing of Nevermind. DGC-24425. While bleach had been released a few years prior this was Nirvana’s introduction to the masses. An instant classic and held up today as one of grunge’s biggest records ever released. As seen in the photos this copy definitely has some condition flaws. It’s been greatly loved and it shows. Seem Splits on all three sides of the cover as well as an entire side of the insert. Record itself in good condition with scuffing and white scratching. This was a bookmark piece in my collection for several years until I was able to obtain a cleaner copy. Mint condition copies of this vinyl now sell upwards of $2000. By no means is this anywhere near mint, but this would be an absolute treasure for somebody looking to obtain a first pressing at a reasonable price. Here’s your chance to own a little piece of rock ‘n’ roll history. I’ve taken pictures of the cover back insert as well as the matrix run out on both sides to confirm that this is indeed a first press. Catalog number: "DGC-24425" on labels and inner sleeve.
Comes with black-and-white, printed paper inner sleeve. One side features a picture of the band members, along with production credits. The other side (appearing the upside-down when rotating it on the vertical axis) shows the picture of a monkey-like animal and random quotations of verses from various songs in the album.
Back cover bottom reads,
