NiRVANA pennyroyal tea 7“ with 1. pennyroyal tea 2. i hate myself and 3. where did you sleep last night. Promotion/Testpress 7”(?). The record is in really good condition. The songs are the same that you will find on the German Mcd. The record has neither a printed sleeve nor a cover.The labels are blank and have handwritten on it “nirvana pennyroyal tea 7”. In the matrix is etched machine stamped “GES X / GES XX” (Picture).I got this one 3-4 years ago while buying a part of a complete collection of old Alternative/Punk/Hc Related records from a guy in Hamburg/Germany. This 7” vinyl version has not been seen on tradelists or ebay and regarding my investigation I can conclude that there are not many around. On common fansites you will find some theories about this item, especially the Pennyroyal3 site is dedicated to this item. Besides that one offered, there is one different version offered on ebay with a printed sleeve, labels and two songs, probably the UK version, but due to information on Pennyroyal3 you can draw the conclusion that it is no original copy. Also on Pennyroyal3 fansite I have seen that probably there is an original printed sleeve around. As I have been asked many times about this record, I will announce again that I can only provide this information. Neither do I know where this one came from nor will I give any guarantees for its authenticity.
