Nirvana fully signed Love Buzz 7” ultra rare

Hello and welcome to my auctions. Up for auction is probably the most unique item from the Nirvana back catalogue. This is love buzz number 587/1000. I have all the information about it detailed below.

This is probably a one of a kind from that whole batch of 1000. This comes fully signed by the original members as well as Dave Grohl. In total it is signed by Kurt Cobain(who also spelled his name KURDT like it is in on the back sleeve!), Krist Novoselic, Chad Channing and Dave Grohl. To make this EVEN rarer, it is signed on the front cover AND on the disc middle itself. It also has some random doodles about it too which you can see in the pictures. Krist has a cigar in his mouth, Kurt has a peace sign on his forehead, and Chad has silver lip stick.

Ok you may be wondering how this got into my possession. I have always dreamed of owning a Love Buzz 7” ever since I was 10 but never bought one when I had the chance…I always had it in my head there was a signed one out there with my name on it….9 years later I was given that opportunity when I met someone on Ebay from America who had a large collection of Nirvana items. This person will remain private as they had requested this. They went to a lot of Nirvana shows around the US and became friends with the band, who would gladly sign away their items. Included in their list of signed items in their email was the Love Buzz 7” and my heart raced. 2 months later, a bank loan, some huge shifts at work and a lot of emails, it was in my hand for the total of £2200. I was the happiest man alive! I could not believe this was true. I was probably the only person in the world who had it signed this way.

Now you may be wondering why it is signed by Chad and Dave. The story is as follows. This was signed by Kurt, Krist & Dave all at the same time. Dave usually doesn’t sign stuff he didn’t play on but did this. A few years later, the previous owner’s friend went out on a trek across the USA to find Chad Channing in order to sign her Bleach LP. The owner passed across the Love Buzz to her to get that signed as well. And so she met Chad who gladly signed them. He was a bit funny with Dave signing it so on the sleeve, he put a question mark by his signature, and on the disc he signed over Dave’s name!

Its nearly 6 months ago that I bought this great piece, but already the spark has gone. I’m no longer a huge Nirvana fan. I don’t really appreciate what I have. I have had it on my mind for a while to sell this on. Along with that, I have just been offered a place to move into with some friends, so to get some quick money to pay off my loan and get myself set up, I am selling this on. Firstly, with the verification of the authentication of this Love Buzz 7”, here is some info that all people should know what to check for.

• The vinyl is black with labels on each side
• The matrix code hand-etched into Side A of official copies is 2mm high and reads SP-23-A Why Don't You Trade Those Guitars For Shovels? L-31540
• The matrix code hand-etched into Side reads SP-23-B L-31540X
• In addition to these codes, each side also has the word Kdisc machine-stamped into the groove
• The sleeve is folded and continues meaning that it is only joined at one end(the bottom)
• Text on the sleeve, even the names of Alice Wheeler and Suzanne Sasic, can be seen clearly. Counterfeits appear to have the names traced over or are too dark and can't be read.

to the original owner of this, I am sorry I didn’t have it in me to keep it like I thought I would but the ‘buzz’ has gone from it. I just hope the next person who owns it will be able to appreciate it more than me. This is in near mint condition considering its over 16 years old. Disc has only been played maybe ¾ times, sleeve has a tiny sign on ring wear on the front, 2 tiny holes on the top corners, apart from that this is in great condition.
