Nitty Gritty 1.5 FI Record Cleaning System.
This record cleaner is used. I've had it for about three years, and I've cleaned maybe 400 or 500 records with it. These retail new for $589. You can read more at nittygrittyinc.com.
This cleans 12" records only. It won't get rid of scratches, but it does a great job at getting rid of junk. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes. It can also fix skips in new records that weren't cleaned at the factory. That said, it may not fix every problem you have. Also, I will not refund you if you ruin your 13th Floor Elevators album by cleaning it wrong, or if it doesn't fix the Enesco Bach LPs that your dog got ahold of. That said, it's the best way to clean dust, grime and dirt off your LPs.
Everything works on it just fine: I've never had a problem other than the pad starting to peel up at one end. I glued it down, albeit a little crooked, and it's worked fine ever since. It also includes the little brush to clean the pad with. I don't have any fluid left, but you can easily get some from places like sleevetown.com. I'm unaffiliated with them, just a happy customer.
Rotation during scrub and vacuum cycles is automatic. Fluid application is manual, via the pump on the right. There's a twist-off lid in front of the pump where you pour the fluid. Make sure you clean off the pad with the little brush before each time you use it.
This has been a great machine for me, but I'm not buying and selling LPs like I used to, so it's time to find a good home for it.
