Product Description

It was in the mid 70s that Punk really came into its own, forsaking mainstream rock and stripping the music down to the bare essentials. The Punk revolution was massively influential, the scene spawned countless new energetic bands which then splintered into the more pop oriented new wave scene of the early 80s but still with the irreverence and vigour of punk. Now 40 years on, the scene that changed music history forever is still recognized as being as influential as ever. No More Heroes is a 2LP gatefold set featuring 24 Punk and New Wave anthems including Sham 69 If The Kids Are United, The Buzzcocks Ever Fallen In Love, John Peel’s all time favourite song Teenage Kicks by The Undertones and The Stranglers No More Heroes; as well as New Wave classics including Blondie Hanging On The Telephone and The Psychedelic Furs Pretty In Pink.
