Nojima Plays Liszt -- Reference Recordings RR-25 (mint vinyl). I purchased this new in the mid-to-late 80s from what was then called an audio salon (geez, this wasn't France for heaven sakes!). I have played it fewer than a half dozen times since then and cleaned it once on a manual Nitty Gritty as indicated by a small gold dot in the upper left of the rear cover. The sound of the Hamburg Steinway is captured faithfully, as you would expect, by Mr. Johnson, especially the upper registers, which to me are the most realistic sounding of any piano recording I've ever heard. You'll hear some minor ticks on side two (and one louder about two-thirds into the side) that apparently come from my Nitty Gritty's dredging up some gunk left over from the pressing. Further cleaning should eliminate these. I have handled the disc carefully from the start, and you'll find no scratches on the surface. The cover has some wear along the spine and top from having moved it several times over the years. Otherwise, it is in very good condition.
