*Plain or company sleeves aren't guaranteed to be like new or immaculate. They can have some or lots of writing on them. But they are always in usable condition otherwise. What you get is a "luck of the draw" determined by how the record was stored in our inventory.

About Stevie's 45s and More

Stevie's 45s and More is a new record selling business, but we've got access to a lot of quality 45s. This is because we are supplied by a decades-long master collector of 45s who knows vinyl backwards, forwards and sideways. The grade you see posted with each 45 comes from his precise eye and ear. We will only rarely sell a 45 graded below VG- (see our vinyl grading explanations below).

We ask all our customers to take a moment and leave us positive feedback. If for any reason you feel you cannot leave us a positive rating and 5-star DSR scores, please contact us — Give us a chance to handle whatever issue you may have and satisfy you!

The bottom line: We want you to be happy with your purchase!

Payment Information

We accept payments ONLY via PayPal at this time. No Exceptions. No forms of paper-based payment by postal mail are accepted. Note that PayPal does not require you to have an account with them for payment purposes, and you can pay using your own credit or debit card.

Payment is requested within 7 days of the end of the auction or sale. At the end of 7 days, if payment hasn't been made, we will ask eBay to remind the customer, and 4 additional days for payment will be given before the purchase is canceled. Ordinarily we will not contact you to remind you to pay for your purchase.

While we leave positive feedback for all paying customers, we leave the most cheerful feedback for customers who pay within 72 hours.

BEFORE YOU PAY: Note that we will not ship to unconfirmed addresses in any circumstances.  You must set up the shipping address you prefer in your account settings before paying.  We will refund payments made that are followed by a request for an alternative address, and ask for re-payment after a confirmed address is set up.

Shipping Prices and Information (45s only) - Updated Jan 22 2012

• Shipping prices have been updated due to changes in U.S. Postal Service rates:
  • Good news: Our base domestic First Class rate is the same as before!
  • Good news: Our domestic First Class/Media Mail rates for combined shipping are also the same as before!
  • Bad news: Domestic Priority Mail and International shipping prices have generally increased.  Sorry!  We have tried our best to absorb increases in USPS rates.
  • Good news: We've decreased our Canada First Class International combined shipping increment from 75 to 50 cents! The USPS increases especially sock it to our Canadian customers, so we wanted to give you all a break.
• Based on recent shipping experience, we have realized we can ship up to five (rather than four) 45s in one shipment using domestic First Class before having to roll over to Media Mail.
• Text has been added to clarify what days we ship and how handling time is figured.

If purchasing more than one 45 from us, please use the following formulas when figuring total shipping costs. As our shipping prices are carefully calibrated to be minimal and fair, they are non-negotiable.

Note: For the sake of ensuring packages arrive in the best possible condition, shipments of over 10 45s must be split into separate packages, and the base shipping price will apply to each package.

Domestic / U.S.A. Shipping

• USPS First Class/Media Mail + Delivery Confirmation: $3.25 for the 1st 45 + $0.50 for each additional 45.
  • IMPORTANT: Due to First Class weight restrictions, shipments of 6 or more records roll over to Media Mail unless you request Priority Mail or separated First Class shipments of 5 or fewer in each package, each with a base price of $3.25 ($0.50 increment for each additional 45 still applies).
• USPS Priority Mail Padded Flat Rate Envelope (1 or 2 45s Only): $6.25
  • Extra Secure, as this is a bubble-padded envelope containing a standard record mailer with its own stiffeners and bubble wrap on the inside.
  • Includes Delivery Confirmation
• USPS Priority Mail (3 to 10 45s):
  • 1 to 5 45s: Use First Class (First Class is a better deal and gets your package delivered just as fast)
  • 6 45s: $7.25 (A good "sweet spot" price $1.25 cheaper than shipping two separate First Class packages)
  • 7 to 10 45s: $10.75 (Note: Shipping separate First Class packages is less expensive, with a price range of $9.00 to $10.50)

International Shipping

    • If the value of the total purchase exceeds $400, separate shipments must be made, each with their own base price, or USPS Priority Mail International must be selected.

• Shipments will be combined only for items won or sold within a 7-day period.  We have our eBay account set up to disallow combined invoicing for items purchased outside of this range. (Note: this is a change from the previous allowed combined shipping period of 72 hours)
• The USPS Priority Mail (Domestic or International) Padded Flat Rate Envelope can be selected to receive all your items, but there is a limit of two 45s per envelope.  To determine your total shipping price in this case, divide the number of 45s by 2, round up to the next whole number (e.g., 3.5?4), then multiply by the padded flat rate envelope shipping price ($6.25 for U.S., $14.25 for Canada, $18.25 for everywhere else).
• If you make an overpayment for shipping without receiving an invoice first, we will refund all your money, and send you an invoice with the correct combined shipping prices. 
• Again, all shipping prices are non-negotiable.

Preparing and Delivering Your Packages (with Care!)

We package and ship our 45s to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition. We use standard record mailers in most cases, and if reused, they are reused one time and one time only. We also add at least two layers of stiffeners and at least one layer of bubble wrap to every package.

We deliver our 45s in person to our local post office to ensure (by receipt) placement into the delivery stream and prevent any potential warping or damage from outside elements before entering that stream. Vinyl is delicate and we treat it as if we were purchasing it ourselves!

Shipping Days and Handling Time

We ship only on weekdays (Monday through Friday), and consider these days as "business days" in terms of handling.  Our handling period is two (2) business days, and this period starts at the beginning of the next business day following your payment (not when the item is won or sold).  So, for instance, if you make a payment on Thursday at 11:00 AM (Eastern U.S.), your items may not be shipped until Monday afternoon at the latest.

Returns

First of all, we STRIVE to ensure the accuracy of our shipments, so that any need for a return will hopefully never exist.

While we don't accept returns (outside of what eBay requires), we do want you to be happy with your purchase! If there's any issue with the 45s you have received, please contact us, and we'll be happy to negotiate a full or partial refund given the circumstances. Note that in cases of physical damage to the product, we will require photographic evidence of both the packaging and damaged items sent to us by e-mail or postal mail.

In the case of shipments bounced back to us because they weren't picked up at your postal carrier's office, AND if the contents arrive back unopened and in the same condition in which we shipped them, we will refund only the purchase price for the contents, minus a $1.00 restocking fee. No exceptions. If in this case the buyer requests a reshipment instead, they must pay the full shipping price again.

Special Sales

In short, we don't do them. We will never end an auction early, nor will we ever relist a prior auctioned item as "Buy It Now" upon anyone's request. We don't consider an item's starting bid to be a sale price.

However, if you missed an auction, please feel free to request that we relist the item again for a 5-7 day auction.

Vinyl Record Grading and Record Comments

All our 45s are visually graded at a minimum. Most are also play graded. Vinyl grades apply only to the playable vinyl part of the record, not the label.

Following are explanations of our vinyl record grades:

• NM — Like new
• VG+ — Well cared for, plays well, minor flaws that do not affect play
• VG — Plays well with minimal surface noise, light scratches
• VG- — Plays with some surface noise

Note: We rarely sell 45s with a quality lower than VG- — We believe in selling the best quality 45s!

Other Notes

• The image you see displayed for the 45 was scanned using an HP scanner with a cool scanning surface that ensures vinyl is not affected in any way. Also, any dust or dirt you may see on the vinyl is usually easily removed and does not affect play.
• None of our auctions have reserves. Instead, we try our best to apply reasonable starting bids to all auctioned items. We simply want to make modest money while giving our customers a chance to find a bargain. Fair deal, we hope!
