Description

This is a boxed set of three recordings by Angel Records, Album 3517 C.  La Scala presents Norma by Bellini conducted by Tillio Serafin. Maria Callas sings the role of Norma with Mario Filippeschi as Pollione. The front of the libretto shows a photo of opening night, Dec 7, 1955, Act 1 of Norma with Callas center stage. The box and the records are both in excellent condition. 

Weekly, over the summer, I will be helping an elderly woman sell an extensive collection of vintage opera and instrumental recordings that belonged to her partner who was a violinist with a degree in musicology. The 33 LP vinyl records in this collection were purchased between 1940 and 1960. They were always cared for meticulously and have not been played since the late 70's.
