The labels on this 3 record box set are off-white, the trumpet player is red with black text. This is a "live" recording. It is organized as follows: Part 1: "Jam Session Blues" includes Oscar Peterson, piano; Buddy Rich, drums; Ray Brown, bass; Barney Kessel, guitar; Flip Phillips, Lester Young, tenor sax; Charlie Shavers, Roy Eldridge, trumpets; Benny Carter, alto sax. Part 2 Trumpet Battle with Eldridge and Shavers plus soloist, Benny Carter, alto sax. Part 5: 3 tracks with the Gene Krupa Trio includes Krupa, drums; Hank Jones, piano; Willie Smith, alto sax. Part 6: 1 track with the Krupa Trio followed by a drum battle between Krupa and Rich. The finale is the tune "Perdido" that features Flip Phillips, tenor sax. Included is a program identified as the 12th Tour and lists all of the above artists plus Ella Fitzgerald. I don't know if this came with the box set or was added later. It is 20 pages plus the cover and is like new. The cover art on the box is by David Stone Martin
Box: VG or Better The box is in good shape but all the corners of the top section have splt and there is l part of the edge of the top section of the box that has split away from the box for about 4". There are no missing sections. The cover may have been hinged, if so, it has separated.
Records: Mint Visually all 3 records show no wear. No marks on the vinyl surface. It has an unplayed appearance. No surface noise. Plays like new. Very heavy vinyl pressings. In fine, collectable condition. Audibly checked.
Shipping: This can not be combined shipped.
