Description
On offer is the Gene Chandler Northern Soul 7" Single "There Was A Time" from 1968.
This is the superb classic uptempo funky dancer that is a cover of the James Brown original but is far superior in every way. Written by the "Godfather Of Soul" himself. The B-Side is an excellent more soulful midtempo dancer that is more typical of most of his records.
This is the first available UK copy on the collectable Jeff King's Soul Sounds label from Leicester that appeared shortly after the original US release.
