Description
Here’s a once in a decade opportunity to own a very elusive and sought after Northern Soul 45 “You Got Me Up Tight” by Arthur Freeman on the obscure & minuscule Jumbo label. Spun at various venues in the 70s but finally came of age at the legendary Top Of The World Club in Stafford in the 80s. This track features as the opening track on Goldmine CD #146 “The Stafford Story” and is a traditional Northern Soul thumping dancer that would grace any DJ or collector’s box. Arthur is of course more commonly known as Art Freeman whose anthem “Slipping Around” is still filling dancefloors today.
If condition is important to you then you’ve found the ultimate copy because “mint” is an understatement – this looks like its not been touched by hand or needle since it was manufactured nearly 40 years ago, both the label and vinyl are absolutely pristine. I didn’t even play it when I received it. Without fear of exaggeration, the next owner will be able to claim he owns the best copy of this record on the planet.
