I have had some questions about this record and so I thought considering the price it has already reached and where it may be going everyone could use a little more information.
The A side "Gotta Be a Reason" is by far the stronger of the two sides. I really didn't even listen to the B side "39-21-46" until this morning. I generally don't grade both sides of the record. I listen and grade the side that is listed in the price guides.
On the A side I thought about grading it strong VG++, but didn't want to over sell it. It is a very rare 45 and so I am not worried about it bringing a fair price. I have been in the radio business 36 years in January 2006 and so I have handled a lot of vinyl. I have been selling on Yahoo and now eBay for over 4 years and have never gotten a negative feedback. .
I say all that so that you can bid with some confidence on a high dollar 45. Let me say until you can find a Mint - version of this record which means perfectly clean visually and audiowise I believe this is as nice copy as you will find. If you plan on playing it in the clubs or for friends you will be very happy with the sound.
On the B side "39-21-46" it has some clicking in the first 1/5 of the record which clears up after that, but would probably grade VG+. It plays through okay and isn't a bad copy overall.
