Description
Very rare Grand Island Northwest High School Band (Grand Island, Nebraska) featuring Doc Severinsen as the prominent soloist on five out of the ten tracks. (He seems to have composed Napoli). Released in 1966 for the school fundraiser (parents, students being the purchasers), GI Northwest contracted Stanal Records "A Custom Recording" to press 100 copies according to school archives. Apparently this LP has only surfaced twice for whatever that is worth. Jeannie, a student, sophmore at the time purchased this, a very kind sweet lady still going strong! Sales were for a school fundraiser, being a very small school at the time, they only contracted 100 recordings, and based on the Tax Code at the time, being a public school would have been eligable for a state grant to cover 60% of the cost.
- Vinyl Condition: VG (Would be suitable EX based on careful headphone full listen, but visually is a VG with spindle marks, paper scuffs, and a few non-feeler scratches)
- Cover Condition: G+ (top and bottom seams enitely split, some cover grime, pen written name of student buyer "Jeannie")

My grading system comes from being a longtime collector myself, meaning conservative grading, and transparency. NM EX VG+ VG VG- G+
If a record is sealed, I will state "sealed" and presumed "mint", making sure it is flat, and such. Should a buyer win a sealed item, I am happy to unseal it for them upon request.
