Description
Only in recent years, have Ian Carr's albums with Don Rendell and Nucleus begun to be fully appreciated by record collectors.Put simply, a number of his records,including this one, are masterpieces of prog. rock / jazz fusion.
This record is an original copy on the highly collectable Vertigo "swirl" label,cat no. 6360 027,with the matrix no's 1Y/1 and 2Y/2.
The record has been fully checked and played in its entirety.It is perfectly flat,with no discernable spindle wear. It has a nice shiny lustre and a wonderful ,warm, crisp, clean sound throughout. However, as i will descibe below,it is not a perfect copy,but it's still very, very good and i'm sure who ever buys it will be delighted.
RECORD CONDITION.Side 1. Some hairlines and very minor sleeve marks. Track 1 has slight click/scratch at 2min 25-30 secs and click at 2 min 40 secs. Tracks 2 , 3 and 4 are fine. Side 2. Again minor hairlines and sleeve marks. Minor click at 14secs and a light scratch between 3 mins 05secs and 3mins 25 secs. Tracks 2 and 3 are fine. Overall, i would grade the record as "VERY GOOD+"
INNER SLEEVE. An original Vertigo "Swirl" inner sleeve."EXCELLENT" condition.
RECORD SLEEVE. Light rub wear at bottom of front and rear cover. "VERY GOOD+" Inside of gatefold is very clean and i would grade as "EXCELLENT" However,i must point out that because of the single card construction of the front of the gatefold sleeve, the writing on the spine has been worn away.Please note though, that the sleeve is still in a very strong and serviceable state.
