Description
Only 500 copies with picture sleeves were made. This is the very first OFFSPRING release, ever. It`s the extremely hard to find original first pressing, released on the private mini-punk label ‘Black Label’ in 1986 (just think....that`s twenty three years ago!!!!).
The same sold on eBay, in May 2008, for £256 (UK) and in October 2008 for $286 (US).
At that time, OFFSPRING weren’t able to find a label willing to release their music, so they resorted to the same tactics as many who had gone before them and employed the Do-It-Yourself ethic and set up the ’Black Label’. The fantastic A-sider is titled ’I’ll Be Waiting’. The powerful Hardcore/Punk soundalike smasher on the flip is called ’Blackball’. In all, only 1,000 copies were made, but only 500 of these were bestowed with the honour of a picture sleeve. Believe it or not, it took them over 2 years to sell the 1,000 copies which are now, 23 years later as rare as hell. If I had them all I would no doubt sell them this week, such is the great demand for this piece of PunkRock history!! This thunderbolt was produced by The OFFSPRING and Jim Dotson and recorded by the same at South Coast Recordings. This is back when OFFSPRING were an underground and unknown band, a long long time before ’Come Out And Play’ made it big and ‘Smash’ became the best selling independent album in history!! OFFSPRING sound like T.S.O.L. This is back when Dexter Holland called himself ‘B. Holland’ and Noodles used the name ‘Child C-2017’. Sooo rare. The vinyl is in near perfect condition (superclean). The sleeve is in excellent condition (very clean). Airmail postage/packaging for 1-5 singles outside Germany is the same price (5,50 Euro for Europe and 9 Euro for the Rest Of The World). Postage/packaging for 1-3 singles within Germany is 2,40 Euro. Payment: Europeans via paypal or by bank transfer. Overseas via paypal only. German customers should send their payment to my bank account. Good luck with your bid from Berlin’s eBay seller ‘punkdealer’
