Description
Omega:Trombitas Fredi es a rettenetes emberek /Trumpeter Freddy and the Terrible People/ - Qualiton SLPX 17390.Hungarian pressing from 1969; Great psyche sleeve. Rare and sought killer LP from top Hungarian psych/prog band Omega. Their first album an amazing mixture of pop/beat/psych/rock influences from the west filtered through eastern europe in the mid 60s. The result has echoes of the Beatles, Who, and Kinks but with a totally unique Hungarian twist, and production that would do Sir George Martin proud. The production on all the early Omega records blows me away...roomy, layered but sparse, and buzzing with analog saturated tube glow. This lp has a healthy dose of fat fuzz guitar and really well-written songs. You can't really go wrong on this lp if you like 60s rock/pop/psych, and for now it's affordable.'Rettenettes Emberek' starts with a fantastic sitar riff and this gives way to a real garagepunksitar basher with a fantastic snarly vocalist. Play it loud and be blown away!!! Also has a superior eastern fuzz break. They don't come better and this also has a good groove and a real good rhythm as of all studios in the Eastern European sixties the Hungarian studios must have been the best, judging the recordings coming from there. Rest of the LP is also fantastic. Cool mod, strange psych, the fantastic 'Ha en szel lehetnek', and even some ethnic folkmoves.
The record is in VG+ condition and the cover is VG-.

M : Mint. Only when the record is sealed.
NM : Near Mint.
Record = is as good as new and clear. May have some minor paper scuffs or tiny hairlines.
Cover = as new with maybe the slightest signs of wear on corners, edges, spine or surface.
EX : Excellent.
Record = Still very clear with a few hairlines and some small scuffs.
Cover = there is a bit wear on corners, edges and surface.
VG+ : Very Good+.
Record = clear but you can see some hairlines and/or some small scuffs across the surface.
Cover = is still looking good but there is some wear, on corners & edges,slight creasing. There is a bit ring-wear and a small green tag on the front-side. without any major defects, is acceptable.
VG : Very Good.
Record = There are lines, scuffs and/or swipes across the surface.
Cover = there is real wear on corners, edges and spine. There are splits in the seams, serious ring-wear or surface-wear, small mark from a price sticker.
G : Good.
Record = when I put a record on Ebay with this grade then it well be a very rare one. In that case I will describe the imperfections on this record in detail.
Cover = this cover has been mended to keep it from falling apart.
