Description

You've heard it by Leadbelly, you've heard it by The Weavers, but you've never heard it played in the mid 20s by GREENING'S DANCE ORCHESTRA! Imperial 1590. ON THE MIDNIGHT SPECIAL (composer credit, Irving King) b/w BARCELONA. Vocals by L. Rothery (Midnight) and G. Berry (Barcelona). English pressing, VG/VG- (Barcelona is more worn and has small scratches). This came from cartoonist R. Crumb's collection and has a post-it note from him on the sleeve that says "It IS the 'Midnight Special"!! 1924-25! R. Crumb's writing".
