DR. VINYL PRESENTS

OPUS 'BABY COME ON'/'ANGELA GREY'

Progband Opus from Maastricht, close to the Belgian border in the south of the Netherlands was founded in 1967. Among them  British vocalist/guitarist Tom Winter. In 1971 Tom went back to England where he recorded with Abi Ofarim (Ex-Abi & Esther Ofarim). This was their second 45 and their best if you ask me (although their debut 'Master of my fate'is also a KILLER!) . 'Baby come on' is one of the few Dutch psychedelic masterpieces. B side 'Angela Grey' might be a slow one but it has fantastic psychedelic sounds and must be written under the influence of some chemicals! These guys never released and album like for example Group 1850 but their 45's are crwon jewels of Dutch Prog/Psych! Needless to say that this 45 is EXTREMELY RARE!
