Description
This is the first press of Orange Juice's vinyl album 'You Can't Hide Your Love Forever' from 1982 and the original POLYDOR label. With matrices:
POL 1057 A//2 420S strawberry
POL 1057 B//2 420S end of part one.
The record itself is in VGC+, there are hairlines and one or two light feelable scratches. The vinyl surface retains a nice gloss with no dull areas. The record played nicely with no jumps. There was light background crackle and during the last track on side 2 'In A Nutshell' light clicks were heard about half way through to the end. We did not feel they overpowered the song which played through clearly with no jumps.Spind quality was otherwise excellent throughout. Labels are undamaged.
The outer sleeve has no major damage and is in VGC+. There is some age related wear in the form of scuffs to the corners and edges and a little rubbing on the back of the sleeve. There is a small 3mm tear on the opening edge. These are all minor points and the overall look of the sleeve is neat and strong.
Inner lyric sleeve is VG+, no damage just a little minor creasing from storage.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The record is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
