We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

From what we've heard of the sunshine poprock of the 60s, the Millennium's Begin could very well be the best of them all. The Millennium was a studio supergroup headed by producer Curt Boettcher, who was known for his work with the Association. He formed the group while recording Present Tense, an album by producer Gary Usher's very similar studio pop supergroup, Sagittarius. This would be the Millennium's sole album, as it proved to be too strange for radio, yet between underground radio. Begin is song after song of carefully crafted poprock with dense instrumentation and ridiculously good melodies and harmonies. This stuff will be stuck in your head for weeks, but in a good way. The production is extremely impressive, sounding polished but not overwhelmingly so. There are many psychedelic moments in the album, but it is definitely a poprock perfection record first and foremost. "Karmic Dream Sequence #1" is probably the most far out song on the record and it is pulled off well, sounding like a milder version of S.F. Sorrow-era Pretty Things. One of the best moments of the album comes right at the start with "Prelude." Innocent harpsichord chimes away and is suddenly interrupted by a nasty drum beat that will get the freaks of today all excited as a primo breakbeat 'sampling'. It's definitely an unexpected way to start the record in a goood way. And it keeps going in a 'cool' way till the end...
The Millennium looms large in the hearts of fans of the '60s sunshine poprock genre. As mentioned above, the studio group was the creation of legendary tunesmith/studio genius Curt Boettcher, who had previously been instrumental in the formation of the fabled '60s cult acts the Ballroom and Sagittarius. In 1968, Boettcher assembled a group of talented California singers and musicians (including singer/guitarists Lee Mallory, Sandy Salisbury, Joey Stec and Michael Fennelly and Music Machine drummer Ron Edgar) to record the Millennium's sole album, Begin.
Begin, produced by Curt Boettcher and Keith Olsen, with assistance by California rock legend Gary Usher, is an exquisite progressive pop opus, combining breezy melodies, ambitious baroque arrangements, stirring psychedelic touches and angelic vocal harmonies to create a suite-like concept album that perfectly captures the optimistic mood of the time in which it was made.
At the time the most expensive rock album that Columbia Records had ever financed, and although it didn't find a large audience at the time of its release, Begin is now acknowledged as a landmark work and a sunshine-poprock cornerstone of private collections. It retains a loving place in the hearts and minds of its fans, who hold it in the same high esteem as the works of such harmony-driven '60s acts as the Beach Boys, the Left Banke and West Coast sunny sound winners...

CONDITION: The cover is solid all over, a CLEAN VG++ with only a little light previous handling, should be fine in any collection...no bends, no writing and no split seams...
The vinyl has a glossy shine over both sides with nothing more than some few inner sleeve paper type hair scuffs, VG++ to "EX" will play excellent with no audio problems. Clean 360 Sound labels too...
