Description
THIS IS THE FIRST 1964 UK ISSUE OF DAVY GRAHAM AND SHIRLEY COLLINS’S “FOLK ROOTS, NEW ROUTES” LP AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THIS WAS A UNIQUE AND HIGHLY INFLUENTIAL COLLABORATION THAT SOLD POORLY AT THE TIME AND IS CONSEQUENTLY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE COVER IS SUPERB FOR ITS AGE. DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is LK 4652 on the ORIGINAL red Decca mono label.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and ONLY THE LIGHTEST spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD WHEN IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS HARDLY BEEN PLAYED AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The Clout & Baker Ltd cover shows minimal signs of ageing rather than wear. It has only VERY slight edge wear, NO wear to spine, and NO creases. The cardboard is firm and strong. The front cover, a brilliant photo of Davy and Shirley, largely retains its original shiny glossy look. Some of the laminate on the extreme right hand edge of the front cover has rubbed away over the years and some of the shiny laminate on the front photo has lost its gloss through age. There is a small shop sticker near the top right corner of the back cover (see picture). The opening edges are straight with only MINIMAL edge wear!
THIS IS A MASSIVELY RARE AND LEGENDARY UK LP AND VERY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION! DONT MISS OUT!
For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to prevent damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
