UP FOR AUCTION IS THIS VERY RARE 8.5” x 7” ORIGINAL 1967 AMERICAN ISSUE BEATLES FAN CLUB CHRISTMAS SEASON’S GREETINGS RECORD AND BULLETIN. THE RECORD IS EMBEDDED IN THE CARDBOARD AND IS THE SIZE OF A “45” BUT PLAYS AT 33 RPM. THE BULLETIN IS ON THE REVERSE SIDE AND IS IN POST CARD FORMAT. IT READS ON TOP: “THE BEATLE BULLETIN. THE OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE NATIONAL BEATLES FAN CLUB. CHRISTMAS TIME 1967. CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE AGAIN! FEATURING … THE BEATLES”.

THIS WAS SENT BY MAIL EXCLUSIVELY TO FAN CLUB MEMBERS. IT WAS NOT FOR SALE!

THE DISK IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT HAS A MARK ON TOP THAT APPEARS TO BE A SCOTCH TAPE MARK ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO TAPE PRESENT OR A TEAR. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL NOT EFFECT THE PLAYING OF THE DISC. I HAVE NOT PLAYED IT. THE BULLETIN SIDE IS ALSO IN VG CONDITION. IT HAS A LITTLE WEAR ON THE BOTTOM CORNERS, BUT NO OTHER CONDITION ISSUES. THE POST MARK IS FROM NEW YORK, NY. AND THE US. POSTAGE IS $0.06

Seasons Greetings From The Beatles - 1967

1967: "Christmas Time (Is Here Again)"
One would expect after the year of unbelievable experimentation, both musically and otherwise that took place in the Beatles' world in 1967, that the Christmas disc that year would reflect the same bold direction. One would not be disappointed. The Beatles moved into Studio Three at Abbey Road on Tuesday, November 28 at 6:00 p.m. to record the biggest production of all seven discs, "Christmas Time (Is Here Again)". A song was recorded by this title, credited to (and sung by) Lennon, McCartney, Harrison & Starr, to use as glue for the various U.K. television and radio spoofs that were featured, starring "the Original Beatles" taking the different roles as quiz-show masters and prize-winners, audition announcers and many others. Plenty of sound effects and production techniques were used, along with appearances by special guests Victor Spinetti (as the tap dancer with Ringo, as well as playing a BBC guard toward the beginning of the disc), "Something Else by Malcolm Lift-Evans", and George Martin (as the stern headmaster at the end of the craziness, stating the point of the exercise in plain and simple terms).  The session ended at 2:45 a.m., with editing and mixing done later on the 29th (2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to be exact) by George and Geoff Emerick, and the disc was distributed to the Beatles Fan Club exclusively by mail.

THIS WAS UNEARTHED FROM THE ATTIC OF AN ESTATE IN TRENTON NEW JERSEY WHERE IT HAS BEEN STORED AWAY FOR AT LEAST THE LAST 45 YEARS.

THIS WILL MAKE AN AWESOME ADDITION TO YOUR BEATLES COLLECTION.

I HAVE OBTAINED QUITE A FEW ORIGINAL BEATLES ITEMS FROM THIS ESTATE.
