This is a fantastic poster that evokes all the style and imagery of the Psychedelic period, I would presume that this will have been produced in House at Lanchester Polytechnic, unfortunately there is no signature of the artist, despite this it has everything going for it, wonderful and appealing graphics from a great period.
This is also incredibly rare as it features Dr Strangely Strange during their absolute best peak of activity with original line up before Tim Booth left, I have never ever seen another gig poster featuring Dr Strangely Strange in the line up, they are very rare and I would assume that they did not tour a great deal.
The History of the poster is that it was obtained after the gig in Lanchester Poly when the room was being cleared down and has been kept till this day and is fresh to market. I can supply the winning bidder with a letter from the person in question confirming this.
Condition

Clean and complete it has a tear (approx 15cm long) that has been neatly restored from the back, this is neatly done and looks to have been done with acid free tape and not standard tape, there are some creases and some colour wear but generally clean and bright, some old tape marks in places in a couple of corners which are small. Some old tape marks to the reverse and some light surface marks in places, some light edge and corner nibbles. It is folded through the centre, this may have been there since it was printed, who knows?, the crease could easily be removed or minimized by a professional. It has all the kind of wear that would be expected of a poster that is over 40 years old. Would look stunning framed and may very well appreciate professional linen backing. This is a very attractive and collectable Psychedelic poster, it is highly probable that this is the only existing copy of this poster.
