Description
Hi All, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few more choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to collecting. For your consideration we have:
Title: LED ZEP 4 by LED ZEPPELIN
Cat No: 2401-002 – STEREO
Issue: Original 1971 issue on the RED & MAROON ATLANTIC Label – 2ND Press – Led Zeppelin on bottom of label.
Vinyl Condition visual: Visually, the vinyl grades as VG+; it has retained some of its gloss and a little of its sheen. The surfaces to both sides have a few light marks and a few very, very light scratches, however these are all non-feelable and pretty superficial and do not affect play and all being commensurate with age and grade.
Vinyl Condition Playback: The playback grades as VG; some light audible static and light clicks and pops with occasional slightly louder clicks in places; aside from this however, there’s nothing too drastic at all and no lessening of the overall sound quality. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and there are no skips or jumps.
Label Condition: EX+; fine examples, very light, hardly noticeable spindle marks, aside from this there is no damage, writing or unwanted blemishes to the labels at all. The text is clear and legible.
Cover Front: The front of this unlaminated gate-fold sleeve grades as VG-. There are a few very mild creases in places and a little light scuffing/rubs along the edges with some colour loss, all being commensurate with age and grade. Aside from this it is a very good cover with no rips or tears just age related marks and a few dings at the opening edge.
Cover Back: VG-; the unlaminated back shows signs of a little ring-wear and has one or two mild creases again all age related and commensurate with the grade. Inside, the gate-fold cover is clean and damage free. Please note that the rear of the cover has a sticker Atlantic Records K 50008 – which I think relates to the Lilac vinyl issue!
Spine: G+; the laminated spine is intact but has signs of rubbing along the edge.
Corners: VG; some mild knocks to all corners.
Summary: A fab album and this copy is not too bad at all in terms of a package. Many of you know that, for some reason, finding ZEP albums in anything like decent condition is a bit of a challenge. Whilst not in mint condition, this copy is more than just filler and therefore if you’re in need of a copy of this classic Rock album this copy will do the job nicely. It is a very playable and enjoyable copy that has been honestly graded overall as VG.
Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
Payment: Most unusually I have had a few non-payers recently; therefore, please only bid if you intend paying for the item in 7 day’s. Much appreciated.
