Description

1970(ish) KALL Radio US LP. Tracks: Orphir State Fight Song, Set Free, Nobody Throws To You When You're Down And Out, Sweat Stains On My Pillow, The Ophir Stomp, If His Back Is Yellow He's An Orphir Fellow, Don't Make Me Ophir, Hang Down Your Head Coach Swanee, If You Can't Roller Skate In A Buffalo Heed Stay Out Of The Backfield You Nerd, Bridge Ophir Troubled Water. Vinyl is VG- with light scrathces. Paste-on cover has ring and edge wear, corner crease and 3" bottom seam split (an front and back slicks are rather sloppily pasted on in the first place as these were probably all hand done). Band incorporates horns and rock instrumentation to produce damaged instrumental versions of popular songs. The liner notes are hilarious and the approach is definitely gonzo with pop psych touches because of the trap kit and guitar. Sort of like a willfully hipper (and better played) Portsmouth Symphonia meets the Temple City Kazoo Orchestra in attitude.
