"Patton" is a 1970 biographical war film about General George S. Patton, a controversial and highly decorated American general during World War II.  

Here's a brief synopsis:

  • North Africa: The film begins with Patton taking command of the U.S. II Corps in North Africa after a devastating defeat by Rommel's Afrika Korps. He quickly whips the demoralized troops into shape, instilling discipline and a winning spirit.
  • Sicily: Patton leads his troops to victory in Sicily, but his ambition and controversial actions, such as slapping a shell-shocked soldier, lead to repercussions and a temporary demotion.
