Description

This record is part of a collection I bought several years ago that had belonged to  "Walkin' Talkin' Bill Hawkins"  who was the first black disk jockey in the Cleveland Ohio area, in the early 50s. In fact he may have been one of the first in the U S.that played R & B records. He owned a record store on east 105th street and would broadcast from the store window, From what I'm told crowds of people would gather outside to watch him while he was on the air.

OTIS SPANN   on   CHECKER Records  # 807

The tunes are    "IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE DEVIL"  /  "FIVE SPOT"

This is a  Disk Jockey or Advanced Sample Record that would have been sent to a DJ in advance of it's release.

Record and label look and play like NEW,  NO SURFACE NOISE     Grade n-

If you collect R & B or Blues 78s you are not likely to see one this nice again.

I will refund purchase plus shipping If buyer is unhappy for any reason.

Check my feedback.

Shipping is $7.50 in the U S
