OUTLAWS--"DREAM OF THE WEST" LP. UK HMV 1489. MONO. Original 1961 pressing on mauve-colored label. This is a Joe Meek production (RGM Sound). All tracks and some back cover liner notes written by Joe Meek under his pen name of Robert Duke.

Record grade: VG+. Cover grade: VG+.  I know from experience that many record dealers over the years would give this record a VG++ (Excellent) grading for both the record and cover. But I've always been a strict grader and I'm giving this record a conservative VG+ grading, as I like satisfied customers. The vinyl is still shiny. There are some very light surface scratches / scuff marks present that happens when a record is slid in and out of a sleeve, but they are very minimal. That, along with a few light spindle marks on the label tells me that the record has been carefully played a number of times over the years. Upper left corner of cover has been slightly bent (see close-up photo). This record looks to have definitely been well taken care of before I ever acquired it in the UK in 1994 and it's been part of my Joe Meek collection ever since. It has only been played by me a couple times over the years. This copy is not quite a museum piece, but, all in all, this is a beautiful condition copy of a very scarce record in top playing condition.

Flipback sleeve is printed by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd. London.

Inner Sleeve: This looks to be the original inner sleeve that came with the record, although I'm not 100% sure. Based on the other LP's advertised on the sleeve, it appears to be either the exact original inner sleeve or an inner sleeve from that 1961 time period. (Please see photos.) Inner sleeve has some seam splits and a few small tears.
