For auction is a great listeners of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? by British rock band, Oasis. The bands second studio album released in October 1995. It was a huge commercial success globally peaking in the Top-10 in 24 countries. In half of them, it reached #1, including in the UK. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 in the US. It features the smash hit, “Wonderwall” that reached #2 in the UK and #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Also included are the now classic, “Roll With It”, “Some Might Say”, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Champagne Supernova”. Although, the album had mixed reviews upon it’s release, it is now considered one of the most significant records of the Britpop era and one of the best albums of the 1990s and even one of the best ever recorded. In 2020, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? was ranked #157 on Rolling Stone’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It is one of the best selling albums ever in Great Britain with almost 5 million copies sold. In the US it was certified quadruple platinum selling 4 million copies and in total has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. This copy is a rare early reissue that came out later in 1995 from MPO Pressing. It is identified by the “MPO” in the runouts being crossed out. In the original, they were not.
Vinyl is play graded VG+. Both discs have a few extremely light visible surface marks but nothing deep. They play with faint background noise at times that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Plays beautifully! Please see pics.
Tri-fold cover is in Excellent condition. Barely any noticeable shelf wear. A little along open edge of front pocket and a few super tiny creases along second fold inside. Original black die-cut inners are included but vinyl is housed in clear poly inners for protection. Please see pics.
