Rarity: with such stunning songs included, this clearly remains the pinnacle of OCS music for 99% of OCS fans, and the original 1996 pressing is clearly a very desirable album. Whilst the CD went onto to sell over a million’s units just within the UK, the vinyl pressing was poorly represented and unbelievably only received a pressing of 2,000 units in total, all placed into the local UK market. This album has been recently repressed on black vinyl (6 02577 68357 2) in 2019, but the pressings are easy to distinguish and it is the first pressing that remains by far the most desirable!

***This is a complete first pressing 1996 release***

Condition: the cover is a lovely gatefold sleeve, and this copy has a superb spine, no splits on any edges, and tiny wear points on corners, and very rare in such a really fragile soft card sleeve. The only points to note within the lovely flat front and back panels is there is minor abrasion marks and rubbing, which are visible under harsh fluorescent light, but only have a moderate effect on the panels and certainly have not worn through aspects of the printing. Overall, I would grade this as an excellent condition cover – not ‘like new’ but with minor, minor wear, and really well presented.

Printed inners: these look superb and have minimal handling, no splits or tears and lovely and flat through very minor handling. I grade these inners both at excellent plus (+) condition and in great condition.

Vinyl’s: both have the pigmentation that affected this pressing, and it can look like ‘swirls’, and ‘brush marks and the pictures show some of the effect under harsh halogen light. This effect is not damage and does not affect play in any way! Both vinyl’s have minor hairlines and handling marks, and it’s clear that this set has had a minor number of plays. There is a tiny scuff and a separate moderate ‘nail’ scuff at around 10 o’clock on side three (see pictures) on the track ‘One for the Road’, but neither affects play in any way. Overall visual grading for both records is excellent condition. Sonically, I have played this full album through twice today and loud! A superb player with clear channels and minimum background noise, and sonically I have no hesitation in grading this an overall excellent plus (+) listening experience!
