Description

This is Impulse Records A-5, Oliver Nelson The Blues And The Abstract Truth, an orange and black label, original mono issue, with RVG stamped in the dead wax, and with the very rare,original cover. As most of you know, the session features a truly all-star line-up of Bill Evans, Eric Dolphy, Freddie Hubbard, Paul Chambers and Roy Haynes.  The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of wear, and playing quietly throughout. The labels are perfect. The glossy, original gate-fold cover and original inner sleeve, are also near mint, although there are spots where the protective plastic covering has lifted (but not detached) from the surface (see photo). This is a superb copy of a beautiful, rare,original issue. I have added a reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large Jazz record collection I will be offering in the next few months. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping on multiple orders.
